Flextank Wine Tanks

Traditional stainless steel wine tanks are reductive. Flextank oxygen permeable wine tanks allow the ingress of small amounts of oxygen which enhances the development of the wine.

Advantages to Winemakers

Improved Wine Quality
Most wine will benefit from continued but limited oxygen exposure. Long term reductive conditions typical in stainless steel wine tanks encourage the formation of complex sulphur based compounds. This does not happen in Flextank wine tanks.

Low Oxygen Permeability
All Flextank wine tanks are rated for oxygen permeability unlike water tanks which have high permeability and resultant wine damage.

Ease of Use
Easily cleaned (tartrates don't stick like they do in stainless steel). 
Less chemicals are required for cleaning. 
Lighter than stainless steel, so easier to move.
