36000 Litre Flextank

We now have seismic and wind load ratings for our 36000 litre tank. Resene Paints in Lower Hutt have the first of these heavy duty silos. Small footprint and 5.35 metre height make them ideal for industrial locations. Thanks Resene.

Flextank Ice Bank

Priscilla beside her new Flextank ice bank. It is delivering the milk into the vat at below 6 degrees Celcius. The main vat chiller only switches on to maintain the milk below 6 degrees.

Recently installed milk cooling ice bank

Hohepa cheese plant in Clive near Napier is the latest satisfied customer to purchase an ice bank milk chiller from Flextank.

The plant chills the fresh milk after pasteurisation and prior to bottling.

Kaikoura earthquake, costly to wineries

The 14 November, 2016 Kaikoura earthquake saw devastation across the region. Many wineries were affected with sever damage to stainless steel wine storage tanks. In contrast, no damage was inflicted on any Flextank storage tanks. As a result, many wineries are seeking more inexpensive alternatives to traditional stainless steel. This in turn has led many wineries to purchase water tanks.

Insulated Tanks

An exciting new addition to our range of wine storage and milk cooling products is the ability to produce insulated tanks. Aquatanks, our manufacturing partner, have developed the process which produces a double skinned tank with an HDPE insulation layer between the skins. Our smooth wall tank moulds are ideal for this process as the insulation can easily distribute evenly over the whole surface.

Available tank sizes are:
300L, 750L, 1100L, 2700L, 5500L and 10,000L Squat.

Standard colour is Beige.

R Value in imperial units is 2.2.
